Craig’s Hill Reservoir is located within Nambour, Sunshine Coast, Queensland. This Reservoir was constructed on an existing site that was previously services by a reinforced concrete reservoir. The contract required the new reservoir to be constructed on the exiting site footprint, maintaining the service of the old existing reservoir until its completion, whereby it was to be decommissioned and demolished. In addition the Reservoir site housed high voltage power grid with minimal clearance requirements.
This reservoir was constructed using our highly developed method of precast and post-tensioning. Wall panels were poured onsite using our own stacking system. Once completed and stood in place, we had clear access for our horizontal ducts to be connect. Using internal and external forms and a concrete mix design developed specifically for our insitu infills, the units were tied together, creating a water tight structure.
Our Aluminium roof, hatch and stair structure was fabricated off-site in our fabrication workshop. It was then transported and installed in an efficient time frame. It is not just aesthetically pleasing but is a low maintenance option compared to other roofing and structural materials.
